Since I originally wrote this blog post four years ago (it was pulled over from my first website) we have now reached the point where all animals are butchered on farm. There are numerous benefits to doing an on site butchering IF you can do it. Of course you save money, but it is A LOT of time and work. Some people just don’t have the facilities, time, or desire to do it and they utilize a processor to do the job for them and are happy to pay for a professional do it for them. It really is a personal choice
